A Description of the Last meal with the Brother in Law

Last night we ate dinner at probably one of the best restaurants I've ever been to. Jean Georges, at Columbus Circle. It's a french restaurant, typically awarded either three or four stars in the Michelin review.
The atmosphere was not up to par with the Four Seasons, but the food far surpassed it. Ach prefers Nobu to JG, simply because she's a sushi fan more than a french fan, but for me it's a very tough decision.
We ordered the three course prix fixe and I had the Sea scallops with califlower in a raisin reduction sauce, the red snapper with raddish and white sesame, and lamb loin with green onions and red pepper au jus. I've never tasted anything like the pepper au jus. Amazing, indeed. Desert was also included. I chose the chocolate plate, Ach had the strawberry plate, and Ryota had the "Stone Fruit" plate. Each came with four separate dishes, and a recommended order in which to eat them. Complimentary items on the house included an apetizer plate consisting of chicken meatball tempura, a cherry tomato with basil vinigarette and mozarella, and a cucumber gelatin. That was a perfect start, I must say. And at the end, we got homeade marshmellow in original, apricot, and coffee flavors, assorted chocolates, and apricot jellies. Also, this being a traditional french restaurant, about half of the dishes are prepared/finished tableside, for everyone to watch. That was fantastic. To drink, I had my autumn/winter staple, Glenfiddich on the rocks.
